I wake up bright and early every day, yes even on the weekends and holidays. My sleeping in usually consists of hitting the snooze button 2 times instead of just one. From the minute I wake up I am non stop busy. I have 3 children who have very busy schedules and of course they are in several activities, I have a house to maintain, bills to pay, a husband to take care of....... oh and then there is this business I run. As If I didn't have enough on my plate. My sister and I took on the task of starting our own business a few years back, which I absolutely love by the way.
My children are young and require a lot of attention. I try my hardest to balance everything out but I often fall short of one thing or another. The one thing that I want my children to know in all this chaos is that they "are not a distraction" they are by far my "MOST IMPORTANT WORK" I know it can be easily overlooked when running around trying to achieve greatness. This quote by C.S. Lewis is always in my thoughts. In my daily hustling I need to always remember that my children are my most important work., they are not the distraction from achieving greatness, they are GREATNESS!!
This is something I think about everyday. Sometimes I get so caught up in the day to day routine and feel like I'm just going through the motions. But I do have this unsettling feeling that one day I'll wake up and realize years have gone by and I didn't take the time to stop and appreciate all the little things. Trying each day to appreciate the simple things! #Lifehappens #bloggymolly
This picture I saw today inspired me so much more than I thought it could. It's so simple, be(you)tiful. Be you! That's it. It's so easy to forget the simple beauty of being who we are. In a world where most people are trying to change who or what they are it's easy to get caught up in all of this. You posses your own beauty which isn't always plain for all to see, but to those who do see it, it is the most imperfect beauty. See, that's just it, your imperfections are what make you, your flaws are who you are, so in turn that makes you beautiful simply because you are you. You are enough, You are beautiful, You are amazing, You are worth it, you are be(you)tiful. We are all beautiful in our own way. I find myself telling my children this everyday. To help them see that they don't have to look far to find true beauty, they can find that with in them. Stay humble, stay strong, embrace your imperfections, be bold, and love without reservations. To love someone with all their imperfections is a love desired by all. You are perfectly imperfect and because of that you are Beautiful!
This holds so much value in my life. Sometimes it's so hard to let go of things or people, the hurt can be all consuming. I strongly believe that taking a step back and really allowing yourself to feel all your emotions will help put things in perspective. Afterall perspective is what we make it!
